This is the view from one of the balconies
Friday morning we flew out of Springfield, IL at 6:30am, had to get up at 2:45am and leave! We had never been to that airport but it ended up being really easy because of our GPS. We flew from there to Chicago and landed around 7:30am there, then our next flight left around 9:15am and from there we flew into San Antonio, Texas and my grandma met us at the airport. Here is a picture of Jarrell and Titus playing while we waited for our flight in Chicago airport:
Titus had so much fun running around everywhere in the airports, and we let him too, we thought it would wear him out and he would sleep on the plane rides, it worked pretty well too. He slept at least half of both our long flights! Well we got to San Antonio around 1pm and grandma met us and we started for Port Aransas, which is still a 3 hour drive from the airport(we were worn out by the time we got there!) We stopped at a whataburger and ate some lunch, whataburger is in Texas what a Mcdonalds is here in MO, but its a lot better food i think. When we got to Port Aransas, which is on Mustang Island, we just could not beleive how beautiful it was, we just awwed over the scenery, it was really pretty! We got to our Condo and settled in and then that night we went out to eat. The next day we got up and headed over to Aransas Pass, which is about 7 miles from us and went to Walmart, we packed really light so we didnt have to check anything and with having titus, one of us had to carry him and the other had to carry all the bags so we really only packed what we absolute had to. So we went to Walmart and got necessities(toothpaste, deoderant, etc.) Then we came back to the island and one of grandmas friends named Fran(i also know her too, she is kinda part of the family because she used to come to my great grandmas a lot when we were younger and we also would go visit her in Iowa where she lived) anyway, Fran cooked for us and it was really good, then we decided to go to the beach. It was a little chilly that day(chilly meaning upper 60's) so we didnt stay really long, but long enough for me to get wet up to my knees and Titus to his waist, lol!
TO BE CONTINUED(i will post about the rest of our trip tomorrow or tonight, gotta go grocery shopping!)
Sounds like you all had so much fun! I can't wait to read the rest =)
